We are currently looking for an exhibition host for our pre-opening during the winter market week in Jåhkåmåhke 2-7 Februari 2027.
From February 2 to 7, the 2027 edition of the biennial will have a pre-opening at Ájtte Sámi- and Mountain Museum in conjunction with the Jåhkåmåhkke winter market. The biennial’s first exhibition—featuring artist Carola Grahn—will be presented and activated here, a full month ahead of the official opening.
We are now looking for someone who will be in Jåhkåmåhkke during the market days and would like to pick up some extra work as a host for Luleåbiennalen. You do not need any prior experience working in a museum—or even any work experience at all; if you are interested in art, speak Swedish fluently and find it easy to talk to people, you might be the person we are looking for. We will provide you with an introduction to the exhibition and guidance throughout your shifts.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who is available to work during all the museum’s opening hours (Tuesday–Saturday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM; Sunday, 12:00 PM–4:00 PM), though we are open to other arrangements if necessary. You will, of course, be compensated for your work.
