LB°27 — About
The graphic design for Luleåbiennalen 2027 contains a slightly uneven ring, incorporated in the letter Å in the biennial’s name, substituting the degree sign in our logotype and in other ways featuring in our typography.
This ring was drawn by LKP, Sámi photographer and silbaduojar (practitioner of Sámi silver smithing), and is meant to resemble a recurring element in Sámi silvercraft. These small rings often adorn jewellery of various kinds and are traditionally meant to have a protective function.
Just like the contents of the 2027 biennial, the graphic design will continue to be developed throughout the collective process.
