LB°24 — About
ArchiveLuleåbiennalen (the Luleå Biennial) takes place in Sábme, the ancestral homeland of the Sámi people. With resilience, perseverance and great care, the lands and waters have been protected by the indigenous Sámi people, preserving it for present and future generations.
We acknowledge and affirm the painful injustice and abuse the Sámi people have been subjected to historically, which are still occuring today. Through traditional and contemporary forms of expression, we strive to include and make Sámi perspectives visible, and work to establish respectful relationships as part of the biennial's work toward an equitable future.
